RTC Fare Hike Ruled Out

Abdul Khayyum Khan, managing director, AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) on Sunday, said that bus fares will not be hiked despite the additional financial burden being borne by the Corporation because of the hike in diesel prices. Addressing a gathering of retired officials of the Corporation here, he said that the new decision of the Union Minister of Petroleum had deprived the Corporation – a bulk diesel consumer of subsidised fuel.
