Metropolis congress to be held in Hyderabad

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today approved the file relating to organising 11th Metropolis World Congress-2014, to be held in the State capital in April next year. Some 2,000 delegates from 100 metropolitan cities all over the world are expected to participate. Several countries bid for this congress. During 2008, it was held in Sydney, Australia and during 2011 it was held in Porte Alagre, Brazil. There are several advantages to AP in holding this conference like brand image of Hyderabad will spread all over the world and exchange of cultural tourism and so on. Agnes C Bickart from Barcelona and Sunil Dubey from Australia in-charge for the Metropolitan world congress to be held at Hyderabad visited the City to review arrangements.



It may be recalled here that the CoP-11 was held in Hyderabad last year successfully. Hyderabad is also regarded as the best investment destination in India. The World Agricultural Conference will be held during December this year. The World Allergy Conference and many other international conferences and seminars were held in Hyderabad recently. The City is also known as the pharmaceutical and bulk drugs capital of the country. The City has the best infrastructure facilities and exhibition venues to hold any international meets.
